1. Classic Sweet & Smoky Pork Ribs (Serves 4)
Ingredients:
- 2 full racks of pork spare ribs or baby back ribs
- 3–4 tbsp Nature Kitchen Sweet & Smoky Rib Rub
- 2 tbsp oil or mustard (as a binder)
- Optional: Apple juice or cider vinegar for spritzing
Method:
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Lightly coat with oil or mustard, then apply the rub generously on both sides.
- Wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (ideally overnight).
- Cook low and slow at 120–135°C for 4–5 hours (or until tender).
- Optional: Finish with a light glaze or extra rub for the last 20 minutes.
- Rest 10 minutes, slice and serve.
2. Oven-Baked Sweet & Smoky Ribs
Same rub method as above. Bake at 150°C covered in foil for 2.5 hours, then uncover and finish at 180°C for 20–30 minutes until sticky and caramelised.
3. Sweet & Smoky Chicken Wings
Toss wings in a little oil + 1–2 tbsp of the rub. Bake or air-fry at 200°C for 35–40 minutes, turning halfway, until crispy.
4. Smoky Pulled Pork Shoulder
Rub a 2–3 kg pork shoulder generously. Slow cook in the oven or smoker at 120°C for 6–8 hours until it pulls apart easily. Shred and mix with a little of the cooking juices.
5. Sweet & Smoky Roasted Vegetables
Toss sweet potatoes, carrots, peppers and red onion with oil and 1–2 tsp of the rub. Roast at 200°C for 30–35 minutes.
