Delicious Singapore Seafood Noodles Recipe
Serves 4
This quick and easy dish can be prepared in minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights!
You will need:
- 2 teaspoons of peanut or ground nut oil
- 250g of cubed firm, fresh white fish fillets
- 300g of large fresh prawns, deveined and peeled with tails left on
- Straight to wok noodles (or soak dried noodles in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until tender, drain & rinse in cold water)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 3cm piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
- 2 crushed cloves of garlic
- 200g rindless bacon lardons
- 1 large green pepper
- 1 large carrot, peeled and cut into matchsticks
- 1 cup of shredded cabbage
- 1 heaped tablespoon of Singapore Asian seasoning blend
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of light soy sauce
- 4 spring onions, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- Heat half of your oil in a wok over high heat, and cook the fish and prawns for 2-3 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Transfer the fish and prawns to a plate and cover to keep warm.
- In the same wok, add the remaining oil, then the onion, ginger, and garlic. Stir-fry until softened.
- Add the bacon, green pepper, carrot, and cabbage; stir-fry for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Pour in the Singapore Asian seasoning blend and stir to coat the ingredients.
- Then, add the noodles, soy sauce, and spring onions to the wok and continue stir-frying for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, return the fish and prawns to the wok, cooking for 1-2 more minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with the remaining spring onions and serve hot.
